Most compression vests give you one setting and call it a day. The ProPower vest was built differently — with a colour-coded compression guide that lets caregivers and healthcare professionals set the exact level of support needed, and confirm it is consistent at every single wearing.
- Set both shoulder and torso straps to the lightest setting (blue stitching) before putting the vest on
- Place the vest on the wearer and zip up the front zipper
- Re-set the torso straps first, then the shoulder straps to the recommended compression level
- Once set, the wearer can slip the vest on and off using the zipper without readjusting the straps each time
- Alternatively, leave the zipper zipped and release the straps so the wearer can pull the vest on and off over their head
This is a compression vest — it is designed to fit snugly. Measure around the fullest part of your child's chest, keeping the tape flat and level.
If you prefer a looser fit you may size up, but the compression benefit may be reduced.
